By Jade de Groot, painted when living in Utrecht using acrylic paint and coloured pencils

This work is about mental health and the different aspects that are related to it. So the body on the top right corner symbolises physical violence/abuse, the heart and CT scan symbolise substance abuse (the brain scan is one of an alcoholic), the skulls represent death and the impacts of grief on mental health, the food stickers and bones and body with fat rolls represent relationships with food and self image. Like body dismorphia, eating disorders, etc. Finally, the eyes represent anxiety or pressure, just like the feeling of being watched and having to make yourself someone else because you're afraid of judgement.
